Scavotto: not coming from a.

Kosel: Who here has recommendations for a decent beginner forum plugin?

Kopfer: Hi all : i am new to wordpress, and have a pretty newb question: i want my page to accept GET or POST parameters and have different content based on those parameters. can this be done in wordpress? it seems to strip out any PHP code probably a good idea that i add to my page.

Mayzes: S/strip out/comment out

Gerlock: If it is not possible to use PHP code in a Post, is there an alternate means of dynamic content parameterization?

Artzer: If $_POST’whatever’ == ‘something’ {

Sletten: I have the same question as I can make my page wordpress accept what sent from a post

Grapp: So any opinions, bbpress vs. buddypress?

Tredennick: Idk i’m just googling and maybe template tags provide a solution, if they are usable within a post

Herbster: Shudon, there may be better ways, but you can also use conditional php to single out a particular post to append information above below or beside the_content; but doing: if is_single’123′ {

Dutile: Where ‘123’ is the post you want to add php to, this would be in your theme area

Kassay: ScoDal: sounds terrible :C

Luy: Lol only if you have lots of posts you want to add php to, if you have one special page, then it may be worth it

Wolfgang: ScoDal: yes, but in principle, maybe i would want to have many pages, right? :3

Verigan: When i saw template tags i got excited

Yanish: I thought maybe it was a whitelist of php functions that could be called from the post or something

Dougharity: Or special markup that wordpress would susbtitute with the result of some function call

Hudec: Friends I have a php file that I created myself, php is simple, but I got out of the wordpress folder, my question is how would I do ?, you can display, the route is http://consultaqui.com/pagamentoSiTef/suscribe .php, but he tells me not to get anything.

Dubonnet: Not that i’m aware of, php in content is usually referred to appropriately as ‘eval’ lol

Capan: ScoDal: yeah i suppose it is silly to try to do this with a CMS but it’s what everyone here knows. i’m the black sheep knowing Halcom about wordpress :

Warwick: Techshop i like bbpress and buddypress, have used them on the same install, ones forums and ones social media so not really a battle of which is better imho so much as which is more useful to provide desired end result

Luarca: Friends I have a php file that I created myself, php is simple, but I got out of the wordpress folder, my question is how would I do ?, you can display, the route is http://consultaqui.com/pagamentoSiTef/suscribe .php, but he tells me not to get anything.

Flicker: Hansel: first, why does this code have to be outside of WordPress?

Rout: ScoDal: but the solution that the others came up with was to create 6 distinct pages to change just one line in each page

Tegarden: Because it is a code that allows me to communicate with a payment platform eSiTef

Lufsey: Shudon: can you give me an idea of what exactly you’re trying to do. what is your data and what are the params you need to p***?

Melnik: Hansel: but why does it have to be outside of WP?

Apalategui: Scavotto: well they created a wordpress post that is actually a form that submits to some other PHP script

Plocher: Hansel: typically you would put gateway code / etc inside a WP functions or plugin file. this way you can work with WP functionality for getting data AND whatever custom PHP code you want

Eiesland: Scavotto: and now someone wants for part of the form to be broken out into a second page — so you make a selection, then you are taken to part 2 of the form

Bloodough: Scavotto: their solution was to create a new post for each selection in part 2, despite the only difference being which selection they made in part 1

Lofquist: Scavotto: so “part 1” is just a post with links to part2a, part2b, part2c, etc.

Bittner: Scavotto: not coming from a wordpress background, i thought this was silly
